www.sportsecyclopedia.com Old Fashioned Tie Up After an embarassing performance in the opener the Oklahoma City Thunder came out strong in Game 2 of their second round series against the San Antonio Spurs. With Russell Westbrook scoring 29 points and Kevin Durant scoring 28 the Thunder took control early, outscoring the Spurs 29-21 in the first quarter. The Spurs meanwhile looking to hold the home court edge got a strong game from LaMarcus Aldridge who had a game high 41 points, with eight rebounds. The game remained close throughout with OKC holding a one point lead with the ball with 13.2 second left. That is where the game took a strange turn as Dion Watters took too long to inbound the ball and shoved Manu Ginobilli. The Spurs got the ball after a scramble, as Patty Mills missed an open three. Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard both tried to get the rebound but were unable to, as time ran out with the Thunder evening up the series with a 98-97 win.

www.sportsecyclopedia.com Raptors Survive The Toronto Raptors have won a best of seven series for the first time in team history, beating the Indiana Pacers 89-84 at the Air Canada Centre. The Raptors entered the series as a heavy favorite, winning a franchise best 56 games and securing the second best record in the Eastern Conference. However, the Pacers led by Paul George gave Toronto all they could handle out playing them in the first six games, except for a fourth quarter collapse in Game 5. With all the pressure on them, the Raptors came out strong Sunday Night, led by DeMar DeRozan's game high 30 points and took control from the start and eventually built a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter. However, as the game got late the Raptors got sloppy as the Pacers got within three points, looking to get closer Solomon Hill turned the ball over as DeRozan hit two free throws to clinch the win. The Raptors will next face the Miami Heat who swatted the Charlotte Hornets 106-73 in their own Game 7 on Sunday.
