www.sportsecyclopedia.com Raptors Survive The Toronto Raptors have won a best of seven series for the first time in team history, beating the Indiana Pacers 89-84 at the Air Canada Centre. The Raptors entered the series as a heavy favorite, winning a franchise best 56 games and securing the second best record in the Eastern Conference. However, the Pacers led by Paul George gave Toronto all they could handle out playing them in the first six games, except for a fourth quarter collapse in Game 5. With all the pressure on them, the Raptors came out strong Sunday Night, led by DeMar DeRozan's game high 30 points and took control from the start and eventually built a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter. However, as the game got late the Raptors got sloppy as the Pacers got within three points, looking to get closer Solomon Hill turned the ball over as DeRozan hit two free throws to clinch the win. The Raptors will next face the Miami Heat who swatted the Charlotte Hornets 106-73 in their own Game 7 on Sunday.
