With Russell Westbrook scoring 29 points and Kevin Durant scoring 28 the Thunder took control early, outscoring the Spurs 29-21 in the first quarter. The Spurs meanwhile looking to hold the home court edge got a strong game from LaMarcus Aldridge who had a game high 41 points, with eight rebounds. The game remained close throughout with OKC holding a one point lead with the ball with 13.2 second left. That is where the game took a strange turn as Dion Watters took too long to inbound the ball and shoved Manu Ginobilli. The Spurs got the ball after a scramble, as Patty Mills missed an open three. Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard both tried to get the rebound but were unable to, as time ran out with the Thunder evening up the series with a 98-97 win.
