www.sportsecyclopedia.com A Game of Legends After six blowouts, the NBA Finals delivered a Game 7 for the ages, as the Cleveland Cavaliers became the first team to rally from down 3-1 in the Finals and win a NBA Championship. The game went back and forth and was tied at 89-89 with 4:39 left. Both defenses clamped down as the game remain deadlocked for the next three and half minutes. One big play to keep the game tied was LeBron James masterful block of Andre Iguodala layup attempt. The Cavs would finally break the tie on a three pointer by Kyrie Irving with 53 seconds left. Stephen Curry missed a three pointer on the other end as the Cavs made all the plays down the stretch with LeBron James sealing the game at the free throw line for a 93-89 win to claim their first NBA Championship. LeBron James who returned to Cleveland to deliver a championship was named MVP, posting a Triple Double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, along with three blocks.
