In the nightcap it was #2 Villanova exorcising past demons by beating #1 Kansas in the South Regional Finals in Louisville. For the Wildcats it was all about balance as three players (Kris Jenkins, Josh Hart and Ryan Arcidiacono) scored 13 points to lead the way, while Daniel Ochefu also had a big game with ten points and eight rebounds. Villanova who was a top two seed for the third straight season had been eliminated in the second round in 2014 and 2015.
