www.sportsecyclopedia.com Playoff Drive As the NBA season winds down team on the playoff bubble are doing all they can to get those much needed wins to be one of the eight teams in the east and the west to play on into the postseason. One of those teams positioning themselves into the playoffs is the Detroit Pistons, who recorded their fifth straight win Wednesday Night, beating the Orlando Magic 118-102 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Leading the way for the Pistons was Andre Drummond who powered his way to 30 points and 14 boards. With the win the Pistons improved to 38-34 moving a game in front of the Chicago Bulls for the final playoff spot in the East. The Bulls suffered a disappointing home loss to the New York Knicks, 115-107. Losses like that could make the difference as the Knicks are all but eliminated from the playoff chase at 29-43. With most teams having a dozen or fewer games left teams in the chase must win against teams out of the race.
