The Washington Wizards have been perhaps the most disappointing team in the NBA, as they were expected to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference before the season, but have spent the entire season below .500. As the regular season hits the final stretch the Wizards are finally finding the winning potion and making a late charge to the playoffs. On Monday the Wizards reached the .500 mark, beating the Atlanta Hawks 117-102 on the road. John Wall was key to the Wizards winning effort as he netted a game high 27 points, while grabbing three rounds and dishing out 14 assists. At 35-35 the Wizards still have their work cut out for them if they are to make it into the NBA Playoffs, as they trail the Chicago Bulls by a game and half for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards who have not been over .500 since starting the season 6-4 will host the same Hawks on Wednesday.
