www.sportsecyclopedia.com/Dress Rehearsals Without a true top level team, this year's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament could be one of the most wide-open ever. As the final weekend before Selection Sunday approaches the power conferences had their tournaments take center stage on Thursday as teams looked to earn higher seeds or make their case to get off the bubble. Among the games of note was the ACC Tournament meeting between Duke and Notre Dame in Washington. The Blue Devils won the entire tournament last year while the Irish made it to the elite eight. Both will be hard pressed to equal that success, as Duke limps to the tournament with a 84-79 loss to the Irish. Notre Dame likely needed the win just to secure a big. Elsewhere Iowa State looking to make its case for a higher seed lost a heartbreaker 79-76 to Oklahoma in the Big XII Tournament in Kansas City.
