A day after Yale clinched the Ivy League Championship for the first time in over 50 years, and Austin Peay won the Ohio Valley Championship three more teams won their conference tournaments and swiped automatic bids. In the most thrilling game of the day Northern Iowa a potential bid stealer who already had upset Wichita State won the Missouri Valley Conference by beating Evansville 56-64 in St. Louis. The game came down the final play with Wes Washpun banking one in at the buzzer. Meanwhile North Carolina Ashville defeated Winthrop 77-68 in the Big South Final, while Florida Gulf Cost needed overtime to hold off Stetson 80-78 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Four more bids will be handed out on Monday.
