From his debut at the age of 18 in 1979, through two runs to the Stanley Cup Finals, Bourque had done everything but win the Cup as he became the NHL's all-time leading scorer among defensemen. With the Bruins rebuilding, Ray Bourque is traded to the Colorado Avalanche at the trade deadline. Bourque would win the Cup in 2001.
