Image of the Day www.sportsecyclopedia.com/Just Ducky Sometimes patience pays off, and for the Anaheim Ducks that is the case as they have turned their season around from a poor start. After posting the best record in the West last season and losing in Game 7 of the Conference Finals, the Ducks were once again a heavy favorite in the NHL entering the season. After one month things were not going to play as the Ducks, won just one of their first ten games, as rumors swirled of a coaching change. Anaheim decided to stand pat and let Coach Bruce Boudreau and it has paid off as the Ducks have been the hottest team in the NHL. On Sunday the Ducks inched closer to first place in the Pacific Division, beating the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 at the Honda Center powered by Corey Perry's hat trick. With the win the Ducks improved to 34-19-8, just two points back of the Kings. The Ducks have won eight straight and 15 of their last 17.
