Image of the Day www.sportsecyclopedia.com Beast of the East The Cleveland Cavaliers are the clear team to beat in the Eastern Conference. With the rest of the conference muddled together one other team has risen as perhaps their greatest obstacle to returning to the NBA Finals. That team is the Toronto Raptors. On Friday the two top teams in the East met for the third and final time in the regular season at the Air Canada Centre. If any postseason series is as good as Friday Night's game fans will be in for a treat. The Cavaliers got off to a strong start, taking a 31-21 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Raptors would claw their way back as Kyle Lowry scored a career high 43 points with five rebounds and nine assists. Lowry's biggest shot came with three seconds left from just inside the arc to give Toronto a 99-97 win, as LeBron James missed a potential game winner at the buzzer. With the win the Raptors improved to 39-18, just two games behind the Cavaliers for first overall in the East.
