2006: With the goaltending of Henrik Lunqvist and a strong defense Sweden captures hockey goal at the Torino Olympics. In the Gold Medal Game Sweden defeated Finland 3-2. The Fins entered the game as the last unbeaten team in the Olympic Tournament. After playing to a stalemate in the first two periods, Sweden got a quick goal by Niklas Lidstrom ten seconds into the final period as Lundqvist made several big saves in the final minutes.
