www.sportsecyclopedia.com 1982: After a two year battle with the league, Al Davis gets clearance to move the Oakland Raiders to Los Angeles when a federal jury ruled that the NFL violated antitrust laws by preventing the move. The Raiders would have inital success in Los Angeles winnin the Super Bowl in 1983, but would eventually return to Oakland after the 1994 season.
