www.sportsecyclopedia.com Lightning Strikes Twice For the second straight game the Tampa Bay Lightning made quick work in overtime to beat the New York Islanders and take a commanding three games to one lead in their second round series. The Lightning who lost the series opener have been in command ever since winning 4-1 to even the series in Game 2. After the series shifted to Brooklyn the Lightning have answered every time they fell behind, winning a goal fest in Game 3 by a score of 5-4 and winning a defensive struggle on Friday 2-1. Like Game 3, Tampa needed to rally in the third period in Game 4, tying the game Nikita Kucherov midway through the third period. In overtime it would take just 94 seconds for the Lightning to get the game winner from Jason Garrison, as Ben Bishop had a strong effort stopping 27 shots, after the Islanders scored early in the game on a power play. The Lightning will look to reach the Conference Finals for the second straight season with a win at home on Sunday.
