www.sportsecyclopedia.comWarriors of the Fourth The Golden State Warriors playing without Stephen Curry, found themselves in a deep hole early as they took on the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 2 in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. With Damian Lillard leading the way the Blazers scored 34 points in the first quarter and led by 11 points entering the fourth quarter. Most teams would have folded, but the Warriors showed just why they won a record 73 games, outscoring Portland 34-12 in the final 12 to win the game 110-99 and take a 2-0 series lead. The Warriors dominated the fourth quarter on both ends of the floor, holding Damian Lillard to one three-point basket in the fourth quarter, after scoring 22 points in the first three. Klay Thompson was the offensive star with a game high 27 points, while Draymond Green once again dominated on defense, scoring 17 points, with 14 rebounds and seven assists.
