www.sportsecyclopedia.com Warriors Carry On With their MVP Stephen Curry sidelined at least two weeks with a sprained knee, the Golden State Warriors made sure they get past the first round without any extra drama and eliminated the Houston Rockets with a 114-81 win in Game 5 at Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday. The Warriors had not seen much of Curry in the series, as he missed most of the second half of Game 1 after tweaking his ankle. Stephen Curry would return to play in Game 4, after missing the next two games, and again suffered an injury this time to his right knee when slipping late in the second quarter. Despite this the Warriors had no problem shooting down the Rockets, only dropping Game 3, by a score of 97-96 on a controversial late basket by James Harden. Harden was the Rockets strongest player throughout the series scoring a game high 35 points in Game 5, but the Warriors were too strong as Draymond Green came close to a Triple Double with 15 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
