Starting the day in four strokes behind Greg Norman, Nicklaus starts his charge on the ninth hole. With six birdies and an eagle on his last ten holes, Jack Nicklaus finishes the day with a seven under par 65, beating Tom Kite and Greg Norman by one stroke with a -9 total 279. It would be the final of Jack Nicklaus' record 18 majors.
