1928: After losing Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, things look bleak for the New York Rangers when Goalie Lorne Chabot injures his eye in Game 2 against the Montreal Maroons. With nobody available Coach Lester Patrick puts on the pads and takes the ice. The 44-year-old Patrick was a top level defenseman who never played goal professionally gets the win as the Rangers even the series with a 2-1 win in overtime.
