www.sportsecyclopedia.com No Foolin' The Golden State Warriors quest for 73 wins took a major blow on Friday as they suffered 109-106 loss to the Boston Celtics at Oracle Arena, ending their record 54-game home winning streak in the regular season. The Warriors last home loss was on January 27, 2015 against the Chicago Bulls. Since then two Super Bowls have been played, as the streak lasted 430 days. Helping the Celtics cause was Isaiah Thomas who after a scoreless first half erupted for 22 points in the second half while putting together a strong defensive effort. Still the Warriors fought to the very end, nearly erasing a ten-point deficit, as Stephen Curry's deep three in the waning seconds hit off the rim. The record 54 game winning streak may not last long as the San Antonio Spurs have an active 48-game streak the Warriors now at 68-6 who need to win five of their last six to reach 73 wins play in at AT&T Center on April 10th the penultimate game of the season.
