McSherry appeared to be in distress calling time out seven pitches into a game between the Cincinnati Reds and Montreal Expos. McSherry attempt to leave the field before collapsing. With the other umpires visibly shaken the game is postponed with Reds Owner Marge Schott expressing outrage.
